The story is told that if you collect fleas and put them in a jar with no lid, they will jump right out of the jar and flee away. If you collect some fleas again and put them in a jar with the lid on it, they will hit the lid as they attempt to jump out and flee. In a short while, the fleas learn to jump low enough so they don't hit the lid. Once they have learned not to hit the jar lid in jumping, the lid can be removed and the fleas will continue jumping low and will not flee away!
What a lesson in life! How many times have you heard, "Oh, we tried that and it didn't work" or "We've always done it this way"? We've heard stories of generations cutting the end off the roast before baking it only to discover that the daughter did it because the mother did it because the grandmother did it because her mother did it because her pan was too small to fit the size roast she always bought! They continued to do a wasteful task because that's the way it had always been done!
Mental note to self: Try jumping a little higher next time!

"Yuck" is his name. His comrades are called, Eeeugh, Argh, Ick, and Oh No!
