Inspections!
Minneapolis, St. Paul, and some suburbs require the city to inspect a home before it can be sold. The
purpose of this inspection is to keep the quality of housing at a minimum standard
within the city. Some of these “point of
sale” inspections mandate the seller to make repairs before the house changes
ownership, and some do not. Call the
City directly to find their regulations about “point of sale” inspections. The seller pays for this inspection and should have this inspection done prior
to listing their property.
