Concrete Countertops

This is a first for me.  I've seen all kinds of stone, laminate, and composite countertops, but this one is new.  If you click on the image to enlarge it, you will see a beautiful red speckled countertop that's going to last a long time.  What is it?  Formed concrete.  From a distance it looks charcoal gray.  Up close one sees the red speckles.  It's smooth as any stone countertop.  My guess is a hot pot isn't going to mar these beauties!  Set atop the natural finished Mission style maple cabinets in this northeast Minneapolis home, these countertops were a stunning finish to a nicely remodeled kitchen.
