I made a trip to Candyland last week. It wasn't to find Sammy Davis, Jr.'s, Candy Man, but to find Lucy of the Peanuts gang. Much to my chagrin, Lucy had moved. She had just picked herself up and moved off to the Candyland owner's family room to be stored for the next season! In Lucy's place was Scrumptiasaurus, one of the Diggin' Dinosaurs that have suddenly populated downtown St. Paul
Now I don't know about you, but the last time I checked dinosaurs were extinct . . . except in downtown St. Paul! St. Paul is "diggin" dinosaurs this year in honor of the St. Paul Science Museum's hundredth anniversary. One hundred years is a long time to be in business as a science museum. So after our tour today of Candyland found at 435 Wabasha in downtown St. Paul, we're going on a dinosaur hunt for our Saturday sport!
Our first dinosaur, Scrumptiasaurus was created by Lori Manke-White for Candyland and carefully guards the door to prevent grouchy, candy snubbing people from entering! Do click on the images to get the full effect of how wonderful Candyland is! And if these goodies look too scrumptious to pass by, you can always order on-line!
