For those interested in the Central Corridor development of the light rail system through the Capitol area, the next public meeting is Tuesday, December 18, 5:30-7:00 PM, at Christ Lutheran Church on Capitol Hill, 105 University Ave., St. Paul. Updates will be presented and the Rice Street station stop location will be discussed. More details are included on the attached flyer.
Steve,
I asked that question at the meeting Tuesday night and they answered, "Anyone who lives or works within 1/4 mile of the line." That seems quite limited to me, especially since many of the stops are 1 mile apart!

BTW, as excited as I am about the central corridor, I've been wondering: who is it supposed to serve? That is, what kinds of rides are expected? Commuters? Shoppers? Students?
Sadly, I work in Energy Park which is woefully underserved by the transit system. I wish the central corridor would improve this, but I doubt that'll happen...
